Chargeback Reversal Agreement (Stronger)
View Document Sample
Document Length: 1 Page
Usage:
Stronger wording.
Use the Chargeback Reversal Agreement if you have a customer who charged back a product or service inappropriately. You may need written permission from them to get the chargeback reversed.
This version is worded a bit stronger for cases where the customer violated your return policy and did a chargeback without working with you, etc. The intent is to get their statement in writing to take back to the credit card processor in case the customer is not being cooperative. It is always best to have written authorization up front on charges to avoid having to go back to the customer if problems occur as the credit card companies almost always side with the card holder, even if it is a fraudulent chargeback.

If you require signatures and written approval for charging a customer’s credit card use the Authorization to Charge Credit Card form. This form is useful for service agreement charges and also for some product purchases (such as large Internet orders). Having a signature will put you in a better position to contest credit card chargebacks and can help reduce credit card fraud. A signed form is also useful to remind customers who may have forgotten they ordered something from you or did not recognized the company name on their credit card statement.
